OUR STUDENTS

Harmony Heights students are referred to us from their school districts; or after a hospitalization when further care is deemed necessary. Harmony Heights can be part of a continuum of care when in-patient care is no longer necessary.  For students experiencing serious emotional crises and/or trauma, Harmony Heights can serve to prevent further emotional deterioration and hospitalization. Throughout the years, Harmony Heights has assisted hundreds of girls and their families in getting the help they need.

Students attend Harmony from throughout the New York metropolitan area including Nassau, Suffolk and New York City, Westchester, Rockland, Duchess and Putnam counties. Harmony Height’s enrollment is approximately 75 students who are transported to Harmony Heights by their school district. Our students are bright young women whose potential has been masked by:

Depression

Eating Disorders

Attempted Suicide, Suicidal Ideation and Gestures

School Phobia

Self-injurious behaviors including cutting

All referrals are considered on an individual basis.
