High School Mathematics Teacher


Harmony Heights is accepting applications for an immediate opening for a mathematics teacher/teachers assistant. 

Harmony Heights high school is located in East Norwich on the north shore of Long Island. We are a state approved special education school for girls grades 8 to 12. 

Harmony Heights provides a safe, positive and nurturing learning environment for girls who cannot be educated in their districts’ schools.

This is a 10 month program with a six week Summer program beginning in July 2018. 

Prospective applicants must demonstrate the ability to provide both content-based and conceptual math lessons for both the Algebra and Geometry curriculum. We offer a Regents program aligned with NYS standards and the common core. 

The candidate must be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent working conditions and supportive coworkers. Prospective applicants must possess NYS license and certification, three letters of recommendation, a working knowledge of adolescent development, positive teaching strategies and enthusiasm a plus.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)


Harmony Heights is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an immediate opening in our residential program.


Our residential program serves 30 adolescent girls with serious emotional issues. Our students suffer with depression and anxiety. Responsibilities include administration, supervision and charting of medications, as well as the assessment of medical issues and emergencies as necessary. Must be able to work with a multidisciplinary team. Candidate will work directly with our staff psychiatrist and clinical team to review and monitor students progress. Excellent working conditions and school calendar. Hours: Monday 12-9 PM, Tuesday 11 AM to 8:30 PM, Wednesday 12-9 PM, Thursday 8:30 AM to 6 PM, Friday 10 AM to 6 PM or 11 AM to 7 PM. September through June and six week Summer school program.
